I was born in Duluth, MN on November, 18th 1980. I moved around the state of Minnesota until I was six and settled in Duluth. I attended Lowell Elementary School until finishing at Duluth Central. While in high school I was a two sport athlete playing football and basketball, and during my senior year, my daughter Paige Elizabeth was born. After high school I continued to find ways to participate in athletics. Me, my brother, and close friend Carlos Gonzalez began to coach jr league football here in Duluth leading the KC Raiders here in Duluth to four city championships in eight years. After my years of coaching youth football came to an end I still had the desire to continue to coach and mentor the youth of Duluth. That is when I became a regular at Lorenzi's Boxing Gym. The valuable experience of watching successes and failures of the members of the gym, the hard work and life lessons learned have all been an inspiration to keep pushing these young people to pursue their dreams and instill work ethics and dedication to their craft.
I was born and raised in Hawaii. After graduating from high school and attending one semester of college at the University of Hawaii, I decided that I needed a change of pace. In 2004, I moved to Duluth to attend UMD. I planned on staying for only one semester, but I loved Duluth so much that I stayed! I graduated from UMD in 2007 with a BBA degree.
Living in Duluth has given me a huge appreciation for the outdoors and staying active. Whether it’s exploring the great outdoors, snowboarding, or getting my fitness on in the gym, I enjoy living an active lifestyle.
For about a year, I worked out at Lorenzi’s Boxing and also trained in Muay Thai, explosive conditioning, and self-defense. I grew to love everything about boxing and martial arts. In 2013, I moved to the Twin Cities and joined a hybrid gym, training with tractor tires, rope climbing, kickboxing, and weight lifting.
In April of 2016, my family – my wife and two dogs – and I sold our home in the cities and moved back to Duluth. We missed the outdoors and the amazing people here. I am so excited to be back at Lorenzi’s and couldn’t be happier about the opportunity to work as a coach! I love meeting and working with new people, and I look forward to the opportunity to help you reach your fitness goals!

Hi, I am Coach Amy!
I am 19 years old and attend the University of Wisconsin Superior. I am majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in Psychology. I played hockey and was the goalie throughout high school and broke all of Proctor's goaltending records. Unfortunately, my hockey career was ended by a knee injury, so my main focus is now boxing.
I started boxing with I was 13 as a way to lose weight, but quickly fell in love with the sport and started fighting about a year in to starting at Lorenzi's Boxing. I have continued boxing and my record is 10-2, and I am ranked number 5 in North America for my weight class. I am not only passionate about the sport of boxing, but coaching it!
